How is June almost over? The past few months have been crazy to say the least in our neck of the woods, but that's a post for another day coming soon. Today is all about Degustabox! You may recall last month we teamed up with this wonderful subscription box to share them with you. My family and I enjoyed the box so much we decided to keep them around and continue to share their June box with you all. If you missed last month, Degustabox is an awesome food subscription box that surprises you with 9 -14 full size food and drink products each month. They send you new and exciting products every month for much less than you would spend buying them in the store. The total value of all of the products received each month will always exceed the cost of the monthly subscription and you get to try products you may not have ever seen or heard of.
The monthly subscription is only $19.99 a month with free shipping within the US. But, it gets better - use code CJOFFER18 to get your first box for just $9.99 shipped! The great thing is you can cancel any time, you won't get tide down into any long term commitment.
Every month you get an info sheet that tells you a little about each product you received including a picture and the retail price. This month also included some recipe ideas, which I really liked.
Just like last month, this box was filled to the top with full size products.
The June box included all these goodies! Some of these brands were 100% new to us, while some of these brands we knew of; however, the product itself was new to us. That is the fun part about this box - you literally never know what you're going to get.
Tickle Water - $1.29
This was the first product to catch my eye, the packaging was goregous! This photo simply doesn't do the branding justice, but I loved every inch of it. How cute is that Owl? Tickle Water was one of the products I had never heard of but I was excited to try. We received the Watermelon flavor and it was surprisingly good, I'm not a huge fan of sparkling water but this wasn't as strong as some sparkling waters I have tried in the past. My husband loved it, he thinks watermelon flavored drinks are highly underrated, so he called this "his item" as soon as I pulled it from the box. I was surprised to learn this was free of sugar, sweeteners, sodium, preservatives and calories! The Mr. gave it two thumbs up.
That's It. - $1.69
This was another product we had never heard of. I've been working on my weight loss journey since the beginning of the year and over the last few months I have really started to love snack bars. If I can fit in extra fruit and veggies, that's a plus. That's It. is dedicated to making simple and easy ingredient filled snacks. We received apple, mango and chili - I'm not going to lie, I haven't tried this yet. The thought of chili in it slightly scares me. Is it going to be super spicy? Or just a hint of heat? I'm not sure, but I will share my thoughts over on Instagram when I get the nerve to try it!
Mutti - $2.99
I have been trying to finding the perfect (from scratch) tomato sauce for spaghetti and pizzas. The biggest reason is so I can control what is added into our sauce. These tomatoes are delicious! I believe it's 100% due to how they process and package their tomatoes. They start with freshly picked tomatoes, which are then processed and packaged within 24 hours of harvesting. They taste extremely fresh! I used them in a recipe that got rave reviews from the whole family, I can't wait to share it.
Walkers Shortbread - $4.49
The only question you need to ask yourself is if you like shortbread cookies? If yes, run to your closest grocery store and purchase these right now. Seriously, what are you waiting for? These are hands down the best pre-made shortbread cookies I have ever had. They are light and airy but have the perfect crumbly texture. You can taste the real vanilla and the butter. My mouth is literally watering just thinking about them! They will melt in your mouth and be delicious on their own or be perfect paired with your favorite hot tea or coffee.
Goya Black Beans - $0.99
Over the the last few years I have really come to love black beans. I've never tried Goya Black Beans, but I am sure they will be a great addition to my taco salad! I like the fact that these are lower sodium and are part of Goya's "Better For You" products. Black Beans are so versatile and a great staple in any pantry.
Goya Seasoning - $3.59
I'm a firm believer that one person can never have too many seasonings. This is one of those great every day seasonings. We have tried it on chicken, ground beef and vegetables. It was so great without being over powering. It definitely helps enhance the natural flavors of food.
Zollipops - $3.99 for 3oz
This was the only product we technically received a sample of; however, the box also contained a full value coupon, since this picture was taken the coupon has already been redeemed.
Weston could barely let me finish taking a picture of it before he popped one in his mouth! In the May box, we received Zaffi Taffy, which both of my kids loved. Just like Zaffi Taffy, Zollipops are sugar free, gluten free, nut-free, and dairy-free. A Mom Approved treat! Side note - do you see Weston's new toothless smile? He is so cute!
True Citrus - $4.99
Want a simple way to flavor your water without adding calories, sugar, carbs, artificial colors, preservation, sodium or without fruit going bad? This is a great choice for you. One packet of this True Lemon is equivalent to one lemon wedge. I haven't used this yet, but I have tried the True Lemon Strawberry Lemonade before and it is very good. Super easy to keep at home or take on the go! I like to keep several packets in my desk at work, he keeps me from raiding the vending machine at 2:00pm.
Lundberg Family Farms - $3.49
These. Are. Amazing. If you like snacking on something crunchy, but sometimes want something slightly sweet - these will be your jam. I paired these Cinnamon Sugar Red Rice & Quinoa Tortilla Chips with a strawberry and pineapple salsa I made over Father's Day weekend and it was to die for. Lennox, my two year old, couldn't keep his hands out of the bag.
Goya Corn Tortillas - $3.59
If I am eating a taco, I want it on a corn tortilla. My husband not so much, he loves a flour tortilla. But, these won him over! These are so good cut up and baked for homemade chips, rolled up as a taco or a quesadillas.
The June Degustabox Verdict? My favorite things in this months box were the Walkers Shortbread cookies, the Lundberg Family Farms Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla chips and the Mutti peeled tomatoes. My husband loved the Tickle Water and the boys have already ate all of the Zollipops, so no surprise there! Another box that gets the family seal of approval!!
I'm always impressed with the quality of the products we received, as well as the size of the products. For only $19.99 a month (or $9.99 for your first box when you use code CJOFFER18) this is a steal! I can't wait to see what the July box has to offer. You can also check out their website to see what past boxes have been filled with!
Have you heard of any of the products the Degustabox sent out this month?
We love corn tortillas too! That’s how we always make our tacos. Less calories and so fresh tasting! Yum!
ReplyDeleteSo good!! They do taste fresher than other tortillas, which is why I find myself always going back to them.
DeleteSounds great I’ve heard good things about these kind of subscription boxes - although I’m dairy and soya free at the moment so they fit really work for us
ReplyDeleteThese are so fun, but I can see where they would be difficult if you have food allergies or foods you avoid.
DeleteWow! As I can see, that there are so many products. Moreover, I am glad to hear about the discount. Thank you for this information.
ReplyDeleteIt is very important for me that you share your opinion with us about products and write both positive and negative points, therefore your reviews are so popular.
