Hey ya’ll and Happy 2018!! I am so excited that my first post in this New Year is a review of a new to me company and product. Anyone who has been around for a while, knows I’ve been interested in learning about healthier alternatives in all areas of our lifestyle. One main area we have changed over the last few years are the products we bring into our home, we have tried to focus on greener alternatives; with little humans and puppy paws all over our house, it was an important change for us. But anyone who has ventured on this change understands how difficult this can be. What are the best options? What classifies a product as ‘green’ or ‘healthy’? Sometimes making all these little decisions can be so stressful and overwhelming, you just settle on what you know. Life is exhausting, ya’ll.

A little while back, the lovely folks at Simply Earth contacted me about their subscription box and asked if I would be interested in reviewing it. At first, I was a little intimidated because I know nothing, NADA, zilch about essential oils. But, after learning more about Simply Earth and the subscription box they offer, I couldn’t say heck yeah fast enough.

When I first started researching Simply Earth, I immediately fell in love with their company purpose and values. They understand many families want to eliminate toxins in their homes, and how important it is to bring natural products into our lives; however, they wanted to make it feasible without breaking the bank. They strive to offer 100% pure essential oils at affordable prices. To keep their prices low and quality high, they source their oils from farms all over the world and look specifically in areas where oils grow best. Their oils are GMO free, from pesticide free courses, tested for purity and not diluted with fillers!

Simply Earth is on a mission to make it easy and affordable for people to have a natural home while giving 13% of their profits to help end human trafficking. You read that right! Not only do they offer the highest quality essential oils for an affordable price, they do it with a great cause. Any time you shop with Simply Earth, you are fighting against human trafficking. Every month on their website they highlight one organization that they support and that you can get involved in; this gave me all the feels!

Another great thing about Simply Earth is it’s a great fit for everyone, no matter your current knowledge of essential oils (or lack thereof). You can purchase an individual oil and accessories as you need them or you can sign up for their Essential Oil Recipe Box.

I’m an extreme novice and I love the idea of the Essential Oil Recipe Box. For me, the subscription box took the guesswork out of what essential oils I should purchase and how I should use them once I get them home. Simply Earth chooses a theme for each monthly box and sends you four full size essential oils, along with several recipe cards for how to use them and any accessories you need for the recipes! The monthly subscription box is $39.00 (or $45.00 for a quarterly box) which you can cancel at any time and shipping is always free.

So, what all was in my January box? I never thought you’d ask:

Additional items I received in the January box, included , Bentonite Clay, three amber glass roll-on bottles, one amber glass 5ml bottle and six recipe cards. The recipe cards are one thing I was most excited about, actually having recipes and instructions on how to use the oils provided in the box. The recipes included a Oatmeal Milk Bath, a Mud Mask, a Wrinkles Away Roll-On, a ByeBye Eye Bags Roll-On, a Grounding and Energizing Blend and a Curb Hunger Blend Roll-On.

I was so impressed that Simply Earth included four full size bottles of essential oils. They also provided enough of the bentonite clay for you to make several mud mask, not just a one time sample. If I would have purchased the oils individually that came in the January box, I would have spent well over $60.00 (that's not counting any of the accessories!) and I would still have no idea how to use them or what to do next. With the addition of the bentonite clay and amber glass bottles, I was able to create several recipes.  I love that the January box is focusing on health and beauty, this is a great self-care box for the fresh New Year!
